Comments from Viewers, in response to the VTS question "what is going on the image"

Sangeetha Pradeep >> i am seeing blood oozing out of a white background...its a white whirlpool.. and a line or hook connecting the whirlpool to the unknown.. am not able to understand anything more from it.... February 18 at 10:34am · Like · 1 person

Sujata Tibrewala >> Great Sangeetha. You see a white whirpool connected with a line or hook (to something you do not know) oozing out blood? I hope I got that right? What do you see in the image that makes you say that? What more can you see? You can enlarge the image and see.. February 18 at 8:19pm · Like · 1 person

Swaha Miller >> looks like a needle pricking and blood tricking out...first word that flew into my head was "amniocentesis"...how wierd is that...I think its because you had the womb paintings before February 19 at 5:52am · Like · 1 person

Sujata Tibrewala >> ‎@swaha.. Right that's the beauty of art, unlike logic, they have none, only feelings and no right or wong answers. each one sees a different thing and reacts to it differently. In fact I had to look up "aminocentesis" to know it's meaning. Now I know it is related to deformities of child in the womb and hence needle pricking blood make sense. February 19 at 6:07am · Like

Sujata Tibrewala >> What more can we find? We can also think of what happened before the instant captured here and what happend afterwards...Just my thought, but please feel free to share any random thoughts you had after seeing this work. February 19 at 6:09am · Like

Sujata Tibrewala >> Sangeetha, you said you saw blood oozing out of a white whirlpool with a line connecting it at once end, and no other end. Jenny you liked that comment. Swaha you thought of aminocentesis the moment you saw this painting. What more can we find? Any other views/opinions? February 19 at 10:25pm · Like

Sujata Tibrewala >> Thank you all we had a good discussion on this painting. Thanks to Jenny who encouraged me to start this discussion. The little excercise we did is a glimpse of VTS (Visual Thinking Strategies ) through art. It essentially is an open ended discussion where the participants and also the moderator learns from the other participants. The qulity of learning depends on how openly each one discusses new ideas, and how well the moderator makes everyone feel comfortable to share without being judgmental on anyone. Essentially this is about agreeing to disagree and valuing all opinions.. I am not sure whether I was successful but you guys were. February 21 at 1:28am · Like

What Sujata had in mind when she painted

This image captures the moment just after the impact. You can see this one in the image.

But can you see all the wounds you make? Some are deep, some heal...But most of them leave a spot, which never goes ...
