What Sujata had in mind when she painted

Gayathri Devi was a revolutionary in her own right by propogating women's right by opening an all girls' school when no upper cast girls used to step out of their homes. She fought to preserve the beauty of Jaipur and is partly responsible for "The Pink City" we still see today. She has been a path breaker of sorts by being the first royal to participate in the democratic process. She will continue to live in our hearts as someone whose inner beauty reflected in the exterior self as well.
