The mountains below the male symbolizes the ruggedness and strength of usually attributed to the male..I do not say the reverse is not true I mean males are not "beautiful" or females cannot be "strong" but it just the way our culture sees them today. Symbols: Figures in air symbolizing freedom and detachment from this world. The green peacock feathers on female symbolizes her beauty and fertility and the mountains symbolize the male power...
